Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturers instructions.
Step 2:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, 2 tbsp sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3:
In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
Step 4:
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined do not overmix.
Step 5:
Lightly grease the waffle iron. Pour batter onto the iron and cook until golden and crisp about 3–5 minutes per waffle.
Step 6:
While waffles are hot brush both sides generously with melted butter.
Step 7:
In a shallow dish combine ½ cup sugar and cinnamon. Dredge each waffle in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
Step 8:
Serve immediately optionally with chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
